The mission of the EIURC is to connect EIU players and provide a fun and educational environment inorder to experience the sport. The EIURC is dedicated to the furthher understanding of the sport and the continuing education of it's members.

Players are expected to abide by a strict set of rules and guidelines adopted from the university. Safety will be a number one priority with a focus on developing customs and courtesies. All unsafe practices will be corrrected, this will be the responsibility of officers and members of the club.

The only requirement for members will be to play and teach other members of lower skill level. Membership will begin upon signing up and will continue untill the player lets an officer know that they are no longer eligible or wish to no longer be associated with the club. A player may be expelled if warned multiple times about unsafe or unethical behaviors on or off the court

 
 


The EIURC was started in 2005 and has since grown into a well established organization with over 30 active members. The organization was started by Josh Norman, an avid racquetball player who truly loves the sport and watching other players grow and mature in the game. EIU made huge steps in 2007 competeing in its first colegiate tournament at Purdue with player taking first and second in two different divisions. In 2008 the EIURC will co-host a tournament with the ISU racquatball club.

The club regularly participates in collegiate tournaments across the midwest. The club encourages an internal competitive spirit as well with trophies given for the top 3 ladder positions within the club each semester. The club encourages new players to join and boasts a wide range of players with skill levels from begginer to open competitor. The club is constantly working to improve its structure and diversify the racquetball related activities provided for it's members. In short this organization is a welcoming and open club with the intent of strengethening skill while also developing relationships between it's members.
